The story of Greyfriars Bobby was made world famous by the 1961 Walt Disney film of the same name. Bobby was adopted by the author’s family after the film. This is the true story of what happened to the Bobby after the film was made.

Dave Hunter

Dave Hunter (aged 57) was born and bred in Edinburgh where he still lives with his wife of more than 30 years. He is an experienced IT Manager at one of the UKs largest banks. His interests include history, film and a wide range of sports.

Bobby was adopted by David’s family after the film was released in 1961. He has fond memories of the dog and led the search team to find Bobby’s lost grave.
